Family TO Family:  Call 434-260-8127. NAMI Family to Family is a 12-week educational program led by family members of persons who live with mental illness for other friends and family members of persons living with a mental illness. Family to Family outlines new material on living with individuals with brain disorders, as well as current treatment programs, advice, and medical information. 

Family Support Group:  Call 434-260-8127.  is a free 90-minute support group led by family members of persons who live with mental illness or other friends and family members of persons living with a mental illness. Family support provides a place that offers respect, understanding, encouragement, hope and information. Please call 434-260-8127 for more info on our NAMI programs.

Region Ten's Blue Ridge Clubhouse 

The Blue Ridge Clubhouse is a psychosocial rehabilitation center serving those recovering from the impact of mental illness. Psychosocial rehabilitation and day-support services are provided to adults at differing stages of mental health recovery. 100 Burnett Street Charlottesville VA 22902.  

The Haven 

 The Haven works to end homelessness. We do this by operating a multi-resource day shelter for the homeless in downtown Charlottesville and administering housing focused programming. The Haven facilitates transformation for the needy and provides respite for the weary. The Haven has adopted a Housing First approach to ending homelessness. We understand that homelessness is a housing crisis, and the solution to homelessness is housing. 112 West Market Street Charlottesville, VA  

On Our Own

Provides  several programs PATH (Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness,) WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) IWP (Individualized Well-Being Plan) and GOAL'S GROUP (Peer Support Group). On Our Own provides a number of structured programs to help people develop holistic plans for setting and achieving goals, and leading responsible, meaningful lives

The Crossings

The Crossings represents the Charlottesville area's first permanent supporting housing community for formerly homeless individuals. It's also a mixed income
community in which 30 of the 60 studio apartments are designated for individuals who may not have experienced homelessness but whose incomes are 50 percent or less of the area median income. 

Salvation Army

Charlottesville Provides crisis intervention through rendering emergency shelter and meals, clothing, educational and life skills programs, transportation, furniture, financial assistance, worship services, child care, youth programs and transitional housing. 

Hope House or MACAA

Provides transitional housing for homeless families and is fully accessible to people with disabilities.
